Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø Receives $150,000 NRC Grant

Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø receives grant funds for scholarship program.


The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has awarded Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø $150,000 in grant funding to support the Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø Nuclear Engineering Technology (NETwork) Scholars Program.  The grant will be awarded over a two-year period, extending from July 2019 – July 2021.

“Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø is proud to be a recipient of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission grant, that will support students through scholarships and recruitment activities in order to develop a technically-skilled workforce,” stated Terry D. Elam, President of Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø.  “We pride ourselves on placing our graduates in the nuclear industry as apprentices and technicians.  In accordance with our mission, Augusta Tech remains committed to developing a more efficient and effective workforce.”

Students enrolled in Engineering Technology (Nuclear, Mechanical, and Electrical and Computer), Industrial Systems Technology, and Chemical Technology program offerings at the College are encouraged to apply.
